Nolita – BHS Extension, The Fort

After spending an entire morning inside The Mind Museum (open to the public on March 16), I thought it’d be best to head over the to the Bonifacio High Street Extension so we could get a taste of Nolita. A friend of mine said the pizza there was pretty exceptional so I didn’t want to miss out. The interiors were simple but interesting enough. I liked their picnic tables and their wall of desk lamps!

Pizzas are huge and displayed up front. The place follows a self-service format so you’ll have to order at the counter. As you can see, the slices are really big so I’d say it’s good enough for sharing if you aren’t so hungry. This here was the Chicken Parmigiana Pizza (Php 230), which we did not regret ordering.

We also got a slice of the Chilli Sausage and Onion Pizza (Php 220) because anything spicy appeals to us. Half of the pizza in the photo is Eggplant Parmigiana, I suppose for vegetarians or people who like eggplant a lot.

We couldn’t decide which ones to get at first because we wanted to try everything so we ordered a total of two slices and told them to split them in half so we could try both without feeling like such gluttons. We both agreed that the Chicken Parmigiana Pizza was the best. It’s really good and the kind of pizza I’d hunt down. The chicken on this thing was fried and tasty and just a wonder to consume.

I cant ever resist Onion Rings (Php 130). Every time a restaurant has them, I just feel the need to order them all the time. Luckily, these were covered in beer batter and fried to perfection. The batter was light enough, the onions were juicy and sweet and the sauce was different in a way I liked. I don’t really know what this sauce is but its definitely not mayo. I find that the serving of this was large in relation to the price, good for big groups. Carina didn’t like these much cause she thought they were too sweet. I thought they were great!

Carina might be sore at me for posting this but I just had to. It’s too cute! Hahaha, we really enjoyed our pizza there and this here’s proof.

230 per slice? That’s pretty steep. They better make sure their pizze are as good as NY pizze.

They really are pricey but I find the Chicken Parmigiana one to be well worth it. Slices are pretty big anyway.
